Hi..happy Sunday y'all. For this entry, I would like to share step by step on changing Oil Filter and Engine Oil for Kawasaki Ninja 250. I'm sure that a lot of Ninjarian out there want to do this by themselves. Furthermore, you can save service cost by doing it yourself.
Let's look at the picture for the equipments and step by step instruction.
First, let's take a look on the equipments..
17mm socket & ratchet
Kawasaki Ninja 250 oil filter
2 bottles engine oil (1.0L each). Your bike will use only 1.7L, so keep another 0.3L for the next service.
Now, the steps...
Remember to remove the oil filler plug..
Locate the drain plug, and remove it using 17mm socket
After the oil had drain out, locate the oil filter and remove it using 17mm socket
Replace the old oil filter with the new one. Don't forget the washer & O ring
Tighten the drain plug and oil filter. After that, pour the engine oil until the oil level is between the low and high level.
That's all. Very easy isn't it? You can save about Rm25 for service cost by doing it by yourself. Or, you can pay me RM10 and I'll be doing it for you....:p
